Worship in an area of such extreme poverty is not always straightforward. To put it bluntly, folk around here don't have much to thank God for!

Psalm 137 makes a lot of sense to us:

1 By the rivers of Babylon— there we sat down and there we wept when we remembered Zion. 2 On the willows there we hung up our harps. 3 For there our captors asked us for songs, and our tormentors asked for mirth, saying, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion!" 4 How could we sing the Lord's song in a foreign land?

Worship to us has to reflect upon our experience of God alive and at work in our community.

We are constant developing our model of worship and spirituality, therefore, in the light of the ever-changing presence of God in this community.
